Eleanor was the widow of Clayton D. Lovejoy, WCS Secondary Principal, who died in 1957. See his own listing.
She married R. Philip Thelander on Dec. 26, 1964, in White Bear Lake, Minn.. When he died in 2006 she was still alive. He is buried in Lakewood, Chatauqua County, NY. They had a winter home in Largo, FL. She also seems to have lived in Salt Lake City, UT.
Her brother's findagrave.com data in 2008 says that she predeceased him.

1/13/2006 - Phil graduated from the University of Utah in 1948 with a bachelor's of arts in Biology and a master's of science in genetics and embryology in 1950. He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II from April 1942 to May 1946. He married Shirley Anderson in Yuma, Ariz. on Jan. 20, 1944, later divorced.
He was remarried to Eleanor J. Lovejoy on Dec. 26, 1964, in White Bear Lake, Minn. He was a pharmaceutical representative for 24 years, retiring in June 1983. He was active in civic affairs, serving on the school board, city and church councils. Phil was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. He was passionate about current events, genealogy, geography, politics and genetics. He was a genuine person, loved by all, especially his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Eleanor of 41 years, sister, Bertha Claypool, sisterinlaw, Anne Thelander, daughter, Karin Borg of Hillsborough N.C., son, Mark (Naomi) of North Branch Minn., Craig (Marcia) of Ceder, Minn., Steve (Sheri) of St. Paul Minn., stepdaughter, Susan (Greg) Sumner of Park City, Utah, nine grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, 15 greatgrandchildren and one greatgreatgrandchild. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Paul.
Phil never lost his amazement of the wonders of science, and the natural world, and always respected his humble place in it.
